Build an agent
Describe a strategy to Rumor AI in the Build tab, settle every setting in the strategy panel, and publish it as a private agent.
You build an agent in a conversation. In the Build tab of Rumor AI you describe the strategy in plain words, and Rumor AI records each decision in the strategy panel. When the panel is complete, you publish the strategy as a private agent.
Start a Build chat
- Click Create agent on the Agents page, or open Rumor AI and switch to the Build tab.
- Describe the idea the way you'd explain it to another trader: which markets, which side, what price range and how much per position. A rough idea is fine; Rumor AI asks about whatever is still open. For example: "Buy Yes on BTC markets between 35¢ and 65¢, $10 per position, up to 5 positions."
You need to sign in to send a message. Build messages use AI credits, the same as Chat.
The conversation
- Rumor AI saves each decision to the panel as soon as you settle it, whether you typed it, tapped a quick reply or corrected an earlier answer.
- If you leave a choice to it ("pick for me"), it picks a concrete value and says why.
- It can check your idea against live Polymarket markets, so the thresholds match markets that exist.
- It names the strategy, and the Build chat takes the same name.
- If you ask for something the settings can't hold, it says so.
Quick replies. When the next decision comes down to a few clear options, Rumor AI shows up to four of them as buttons under its latest message. Tap one to send it, or type your own answer.
The strategy panel
The panel sits to the right of the chat; on a phone, tap the chip at the top of the chat (it shows the strategy's name, or Draft). You don't type into the panel: tell Rumor AI a value or a correction, and the card updates.
| Card | Setting | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Market universe | Category | The one Polymarket category (such as Crypto) or sub-tag the agent takes markets from. |
| Keyword | Optional. A word or phrase the market's question must contain, such as BTC. | |
| Outcome | YES or NO: the side the agent buys. | |
| Filters & triggers | Price ≥, Price ≤ | The price range, in cents, for the outcome the agent buys. 0¢ and 100¢ turn the bounds off. |
| Volume ≥, Liquidity ≥ | The least total volume and liquidity a market needs, to keep thin markets out. $0 turns a filter off. | |
| Price change 1h ≥, Price change 1d ≥ | The smallest price move over the last hour or day in favor of the chosen outcome. A market must pass both; 0% turns a filter off. | |
| Budget allocator | Per position | The amount put into one position, at least $1. |
| Max positions | How many positions the agent can hold at once. | |
| Risk gate | Slippage ≤ | The most the price may move against the agent when it buys. |
How the settings work together:
- Every setting except Keyword needs a value before you can publish. To leave a filter out, tell Rumor AI you want no limit there.
- With NO, the price range applies to the No price, and "in favor" means the Yes price falls. The price is also the market's probability, so the range sets how much risk each position carries.
- Per position × Max positions is the agent's max exposure: the most it can have in open positions at once.
- There's no setting for when a market ends. Among the markets that pass every filter, the agent picks those closest to resolution first and skips ended ones. The looser the filters, the more it leans towards markets that end soonest.
A card with an empty setting shows Needs input and names what's missing, for example Waiting for category.
Publish the agent
Required before publish, at the bottom of the panel, marks each card done or pending. When every card is done, click Publish private agent. The agent is created in your account, and its status on the Agents page changes from Needs input to Published.
A published agent can't trade until you fund it and click Start; see fund and withdraw. After publishing, the panel's button reads Update agent. To change the strategy later, see how agents work.
How agents work
An agent is a private strategy you describe to Rumor AI; once you publish it, fund it and click Start, it trades Polymarket markets on its own until you pause it.
Fund and withdraw
Allocate money from your cash balance to an agent, and return the agent's free funds to your cash balance at any time.
